In the ever-changing landscape of eDiscovery and modern forms of evidence, understanding cutting-edge topics relating to Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become essential for litigators. Professor Maura Grossman, Research Professor, School of Computer Science, University of Waterloo; and Judge Paul W. Grimm, U.S. District Court, District of Maryland; will present their paper on the topic Artificial Intelligence as Evidence. Seth Katsuya Endo, Assistant Professor, University of Florida Levin College of Law; and Rebecca Wexler, Assistant Professor and Faculty Co-Director Berkeley Center for Law and Technology at UC Berkeley School of Law will provide commentary . William F. Hamilton, Senior Legal Skills Professor, University of Florida Levin College of Law, will moderate. Topics will include the fundamentals of artificial intelligence; an understanding of how and why AI is used; what admissibility issues are posed in introducing AI evidence and how to address those issues, as well as a description and analysis of the pertinent rules of evidence and how they apply to AI.
