Sponsored by Justice in Aging
The webinar will look at important topics for legal aid advocates serving older adults. Due to systemic injustices and life-long discrimination, certain groups of older adults, especially those facing structural barriers and historical discrimination, experience in accessing the care they need and suffer from poorer health outcomes as a result. We are also seeing a transformation over the last decade of integrating health policy and the law with social determinants of care, especially motivated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Hear from Justice in Aging who will provide a national and state perspective and recommendations on how legal aid programs and staff can advance equity for older adult clients through law and policy.
