California Employment Law Update: The Year in Review and Looking Forward to 2026
Sponsored by Cozen O'Connor
California has enacted several new employment laws that
employers need to know. These include paid family leave benefits for
“designated persons”, updates on job posting requirements, expansion of the
status of limitations for pay discrimination claims, changes in Cal WARN
notices, regulations regarding AI in the workplace, prohibition on
“stay-or-pay” agreements and more. We will also look at recent agency and
judicial developments that will impact California and other employers in the
coming year.
